Brent Maddox “Matt” Melton II, 37, of Dresden, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Services were held 2 p.m. Saturday at Bowlin Funeral Home, with Bro. Toney Smith and Bro. Danny Douglas officiating. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden.
Buddy Glisson, Tim Spence, Jimbo Crawford, David Ricketts, Ron Mangiarcinia and Richard Pritchett served as pallbearers.
Melton was born in Jackson, son of Brent and Cynthia Lou Cox Melton of Dresden. He was a technician for Cablevision and member of Dresden Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Erin Nicole Melton of Gleason, Cassidy Anne Melton and Gillian Grace Melton, both of Palmersville; two brothers, Mark. R. Melton and Joshua W. Melton, both of Dresden; and his grandmother, Evelyn Bess Melton of Dresden.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Mark E. Melton and Lucian and Ann Cox.
