Union City’s Craig Lowrance signed to continue his baseball career at Walters State Community College in Morristown.
Union City High School standout pitcher Craig Lowrance has signed scholarship papers to continue his baseball career at junior college national power Walters State Community College in Morristown. Lowrance, who is recovering from a blood clot in his pitching shoulder that forced him to have a rib removed, won 11 of 12 decisions last season with 122 strikeouts and an earned run average of 1.78 as a junior. He also hit .430, earning all-state honors from the Tennessee Sports Writers Association. WSCC won the national championship two years ago.
