Completed arrangements are being announced for Trent James, 48, of Union City, who died Jan. 14, 2008, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Chapel AME Church, with the Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. Friends may call at noon at the church. Rawls Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements. He was born Nov. 19, 1959, in Union City, son of Katherine (Long) James of Union City and the late Ernest James Sr. He was a member of Brown Chapel AME Church and had been a cook at an Italian restaurant in Michigan. Survivors also include his son, Trent James Jr. of South Bend, Ind.; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Frank and Angie James and Ernest and Tina James, all of Columbia, S.C., Robert and Julia James of Conyers, Ga., and Donald James and Roger James, both of Union City.
