| Dresden shooters advance | | | | Bull’s-eye — Four athletes, representing the Dresden Elks Lodge, won in their age categories in the District Elks Hoop Shoot contest held on Saturday, Jan. 12 in Trenton. The four are (front, from left) Dresser Winn, a third-grader at Dresden Elementary, who made 18-of-25 free throws to win the 8-9 year old boys division; Callen Killebrew, a third-grader at Dresden Elementary, who made 18-of-25 free throws to win the 8-9 year old girls division; (back, from left) Joseph Sipes, an eighth-grader at Dresden Middle, who made 19-of-25 free throws to win the 12-13 year old boys division; and Carrie Kathryn Hatchel, a fifth-grader at Dresden Middle, who made 15-of-25 free throws to win the 10-11 year old girls division.
