Movie night planned
Mount Ararat Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Troy will host a movie night for children from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade Sunday, beginning at 5.
Children will be able to enjoy popcorn and hotdogs while watching the 1993 movie “Huck Finn.”
The Rev. Billy McGarity is pastor.
Pastor Aide program set
The Rev. Buster Johnson and the choir from South Fulton’s Antioch Missionary Baptist Church will be special guests at Everfaithful MBC Sunday at 3 p.m. The Pastor Aide program will include praise and special music.
The Rev. Harry Hayes is pastor of the Union City church.
Revival to begin
New Life Worship Center, located at 406 East Bransford St. in Union City, will host its first revival for 2008 this week. Evangelist Steve Gatlin will be ministering Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m. Special music will be a feature of each service.

Sportsman banquet set
There will be a sportsman’s banquet with free admission and a free meal Saturday at 6 p.m. at Vincent Implements in Martin.
Registration is limited to 350 and door prizes will be awarded. The grand prize is a guided pheasant hunt for two in South Dakota. Numerous guided fishing and hunting trips will also be given away, as will a shot gun, bow and deer stand.
Morris Anderson will be the guest speaker. He is a big game hunter and avid fisherman who has hunted elk, mule deer, black bear, caribou, kangaroo, springbok and many more animals on three continents, frequently claiming trophies.

Recovery program set
Ridgely First Baptist Church is hosting a Celebrate Recovery 12-step Christ-centered recovery ministry that will begin Feb. 1 at the church, located at 300 South Main St., at 6:30 p.m.
