Charlie Wayne McCoy, 64, of Union City died Jan. 16, 2008, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Southerland officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery near Hornbeak. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening. Pallbearers will be John McCoy, Tony Ray, Ronnie Jackson, Jackie Krietman, Tony Eaves and Jeff Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Hicks, Vick Smith, Marion McCollum, Don Craddock, Bobby Eaves and Jackie Krietman Jr. He was born April 7, 1943, in Lake County, son of the late Ted and Annie Bell (Newsom) McCoy. He had been married to Sheila (Dash) McCoy. He was a former employee of the Hunter Packing House in East St. Louis, Ill., and was a member of David’s Chapel Baptist Church near Hickman, Ky. Survivors include four daughters, Heather Jackson of Union City, Jennifer Taylor and Stacy Rico, both of Dresden, and Charlene Burpo of Kenton; eight grandchildren, Dallas Eaves and Bailey Eaves, both of Union City, Hunter Taylor, Austin Taylor, Madison Taylor and Noah Rico, all of Dresden, and Jeremy Burpo and Laura Burpo, both of Kenton; three sisters, Mildred Sherrill, Mae Terry and Martha Jackson, all of Union City; his brother, Raymond McCoy of Memphis; his half sister, Jane Carver of Dresden; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
