| UTM equestrian team adds home date vs. Murray St. to schedule | | | The University of Tennessee at Martin women’s equestrian team has added a head-to-head match against Murray State to its spring competition schedule. UTM will host the Racers at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6 at the Ned R. McWherter Agricultural Pavilion. Admission is free.
“We are excited to host Murray State,” says second-year head coach Meghan Cunningham Corvin. “Murray currently competes in the IHSA but is interested in experiencing the head-to-head format. We are thrilled to introduce this format and have them compete.”
The Skyhawks, currently 0-3, will be looking for their first win of the 2007-2008 season when they face the Racers.
“It will be a great chance for us to get in to the arena one more time before we head to California and give the athletes more confidence heading into the home stretch of competitions,” Corvin said.
UT Martin travels to Fresno, Calif., to participate in the Best of the West tournament Feb. 16-17. | | | | |
