Golden Living Center announces activity list

Golden Living Center in Union City has announced the following activities for Jan. 20-26.
Sunday: Baptist Temple Church in Union City will hold Sunday school at 10 a.m. Bishop Street Church of Christ in Union City will have afternoon services at 3:30. Mount Ararat Cumberland Presbyterian Church will hold a gospel meeting with residents in the dining area at 6:30.
Monday: The beauty shop will be open all day with services provided by Metta Sisk of Union City. Coffee will be served to residents at 10. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Ellarine Moses of Union City will be the special guest. Rose Huey of Hornbeak will hold singing and a devotion time at 1:30.
Tuesday: Coffee will be served in the main dining room at 10 a.m. The Young at Heart group from Second Baptist Church will hold singing and a devotion time at 10:30. An arts and crafts class will be held at 2. Terry Phillips and Danny Phillips will provide singing and a devotional at 7.
Wednesday: Coffee and News Club will meet in the main dining room at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Let’s Make Bread class at 10:30 and a Jam and Bread session at 1. Cross Roads with Jean Jackson will be at 2.
Thursday: The beauty shop will be open all day. Coffee will be served to residents at 9. Exchange Street Church of Christ in Union City will provide a devotional time in the main dining area at 10. Gerri Barber of Union City will play bingo with the residents in the dining room at 2 p.m.
Friday: Coffee and News Club will meet in the main dining room at 9:30 a.m. A game of balloon volleyball will be offered at 10:30. An exercise time will be provided at 1. A washer game will be played at 2.
Saturday: Coffee and News Club will meet in the main dining room at 9:45 a.m., followed by a discussion group at 10:30. Residents will play kickball in the dining area at 2.
