Alice E. Taylor, 84, of Paducah, Ky., died 1:25 a.m. Jan. 13, 2008, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lone Oak, Ky.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with Eddie Cassetty and Miles Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dukedom.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening and on Tuesday from 8-11 a.m.
She was born Aug. 6, 1923, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Lee Tuck and Cora (Williams) Long. She was the widow of William Franklin Taylor, who died Jan. 23, 1977. She had lived in this community all her life and was a member of Smith Street Church of Christ in South Fulton.
She had formerly been employed in the shoe department at Wal-Mart in Fulton.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Gary Kitchin of Paducah, Ky.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Denise Taylor, Anthony “Tony” and Marianne Taylor and Steve and Jeannie Taylor, all of South Fulton, and Doug Taylor of Memphis; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; her great-great-granddaughter; and her brother, James Long of Clarkson, Ky.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson and great-great-granddaughter and two sisters, Sara Stinnett and Nelle Martin.
