Martha Tatum Drummonds, 95, of Ridgely died Jan. 7, 2008, at her home. She was the mother of Linda Newton of Obion.
Services were set for 11 a.m. today at the Tiptonville chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Mac Daniels was to officiate and burial was to follow in New Haven Cemetery at Ridgely.
Pallbearers were to be Shelby Barker, Shelby Barker Jr., Charles Campbell, James Mooring, Bobby Ray Newton and Jesse Dale Newton.
She was born June 16, 1912, in Wayne County, daughter of the late Bill and Ada (Sharp) Tatum. She was the widow of Johnny Drummonds.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
In addition to her daughter, survivors include three sons, Frank Tatum, Cooper Tatum and Alec “Snookie” Tatum, all of Tiptonville; two additional daughters, Mary Tucker of Tiptonville and Mattie Scott of Ridgely; her brother, Walton Tatum of Waynesboro; and 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, Alvin Weaks, Thomas Tatum and Leamon Tatum.
