The Messenger has learned of the death of Jacquelyn Lee Bard, 77, of Fulton, formerly of Memphis, who died Dec. 18, 2007, in Mayfield, Ky.
Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Palestine Cemetery in Fulton. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Fulton, with the Rev. Ellen Ekevag officiating.
Friends may meet at the cemetery or at the church.
Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that memorials be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 1100 Vine St., Fulton, KY 40201 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
She was born April 8, 1930, in Fulton, daughter of the late John E. and Annie (Ferguson) Bard. She had lived in Memphis from 1950 until December 2006 and had most recently been a resident of Haws Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fulton. She attended the University of Kentucky and was a 1951 graduate of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Allied Health Sciences, earning a bachelor of science degree in medical technology. She had retired as supervisor of the Microbiology Laboratory at Regional Medical Center in Memphis in 1990.
Survivors include her brother, Williams S. Bard of Houston and South Fulton.
