Daniel graduated cum laude with a bachelor of business administration, with a major in finance. John, Kay and Andy Salmon enjoyed a Christmas breakfast with Tracy, Natalie, John Evan and Ava Catherine Salmon in Lexington. Reba Nell Brasfield visited her son and daughter-in-law, Duke and Martha Brasfield, Ben, Sara and Charles Brasfield in Covington for the holidays. Mrs. E.H. Welles was a holiday visitor of her son and daughter-in-law, Judge and Mrs. David Welles in Franklin. Lynda Shannon was the holiday visitor of her children, Libi, Alan, Miller and Ellie Riggs in Germantown and Martin, Kim and Martin Bruce III in Lakeland. Mrs. Lerlean O’Steen sustained a fractured hip in a fall at her home and is taking therapy at Paris Rehab Center. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Butler of Townville, S.C., were Saturday evening supper guests of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Seldon Parham. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Featherstone accompanied Andy, Tammy, Susan and Sam Featherstone of Newburg, Ind., to Jackson on Dec. 23 for a holiday dinner with Amy, Jerry, Mark and Martha Ray. Dr. and Mrs. Dan Rucker of Germantown and Beth Rucker of Nashville joined the family. Mr. and Mrs. Bentley Beard of Union City are the parents of a 5-pound, 7-ounce son, Andrew Byars, born Dec. 27 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Tom and Demetra Beard are the paternal grandparents. Ross, Gina, Mary Kate, Bea, Jack and Wally Workman have returned to their home in Kansas City after a holiday visit with Gina’s parents, John and Kay Salmon. Mary Kate and Bea performed in the Kansas City Ballet production of “The Nutcracker.” Rebecca King enjoyed a holiday visit with her daughter and son-in-law, Freda and Slick Frazer, at Christina near Murfreesboro. Ken Amann of Arlington, Va., was home for a visit with his sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Wayne McCreight. Scot McCreight and the Kelley McCreight family of Nashville were also visitors of Diane and Wayne. Billie and Doyle Mansfield, Karen and Kenneth Radford were in Memphis Dec. 28 for a visit with relatives at the home of Jessie and Kitty Olds James. There were joined by Mrs. Westelle Olds, Jerry and Marsha Olds and Jason and Rita James and twin daughters of Chicago. Minnie and Seldon Parham were hosts to their family on Christmas Eve. Family members in attendance were Gerald and Faye Parham, Frank and Bert Parham, Mitchell and Beverly Parham, Jennifer, Aaron and Connor Riddick of Cookeville, Michelle and Jake Brumley of Knoxville and Monica Parham of Nashville. Jimmy Mayo has returned to his home in Austin, Texas, after a pre-Christmas visit with his mother, Mrs. Yvonne Mayo. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Anderson had as holiday visitors their son, Michael, his wife and son, Misty and Tyler, all of Crestview, Fla. Colin, LeAnne and Anna Johnson visited Colin’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Johnson in Little Rock, Ark., during the holidays. Relatives have received word that Baxter H. Stephenson died at his home in Strasburg, Va. Baxter was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Stephenson. He is survived by his wife, Mary, and was preceded by two children and two brothers. Mary Garner visited her grandson, Bob Glover, and family in Memphis during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Seldon Parham attended the wedding of Caleb Duckworth and Miss Jennifer Lovett at the New Harmony Baptist Church near Paris. En route they visited Sue (Patterson) and Dale Quinn in Paris. Mr. and Mrs. Duke Brasfield, Ben and Sara of Covington were Sunday visitors of Duke’s mother, Reba Nell Brasfield. Betty Gatewood has returned home after a visit with her daughter Cami, Todd and Cameron Nelson in Jacksonville, Fla. She was accompanied by her daughter Crystal and Lindsay Woolums of Jackson. None |
