Buddy Elsworth Baggett, 66, of Troy died Jan. 8, 2008, at his home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with Dr. Bobby Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Ararat Cemetery near Troy.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
Pallbearers will be Billy Fussell, Hollis Diviney, Raymond Phillips, Danny Mosier, Larry Mitchell and Claude Cranford.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Matheny, Larry Farley, Jock Johnson, Winston Faulkner, Brian Street and George Mosier.
The family requests that memorials be made to Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church building fund.
He was born Oct. 23, 1941, in Lauderdale County, son of the late Lendon “L.B.” and Lodus Jewell (Champion) Baggett. He married the former Carrie Tidwell Oct. 7, 1963. She survives. He was an independent truck driver and a member of Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder.
Survivors also include two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Don King of Troy and Jennifer and Grady Cox of Paducah, Ky.; two sons and his daughter-in-law, Donald and Sharon Baggett of Obion and David Baggett of Union City; two sisters and his brother-in-law, Linda Sue Killingsworth of Palmersville and Jane and Bobby Dugger of Troy; his brother and sister-in-law, Dwight and Carol Baggett of Rives; and seven grandchildren.
