James W. Marcus, 68, of Dresden, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
No services were held.
Marcus was born May 25, 1939, in Greenfield, son of the late Gueather and Mary Warren Marcus. He worked for many years as a self-employed truck driver and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Permenter Marcus of Dresden; two sons, Barry Mount of Martin and David J. Marcus of Latham; one daughter, Patricia (Shane) Baker of Sharon; three sisters, Judy (Jerry) Rippiee of Pensacola, Fla., Joyce (Walter) Beasley of Dresden and Sue Hartz of McKenzie; one brother, David (Beckey) Marcus of Dresden; and four grandchildren.
