Third Review Club meets

The Third Review Club’s Christmas luncheon was held in the home of Pat Kasnow. The home was decorated with a beautiful Christmas tree and other colorful decorations. A beautiful nativity scene adorned the mantel.
President Mary Lois Owens called the meeting to order.
Joyce Stephens read a poem entitled “Joys of the Season” by Eva Allen. Then she read “Strange and Different,” the story of Robert May. His story was to his daughter, Barbara, about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer in 1938 in Chicago. By 1947, some million copies of the booklet made by Robert May had been given away or sold at Christmas.
Members then exchanged gifts during the reading of the “Left-Right Christmas Story.”
A lunch of baked sour cream chicken breast, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry salad, fruit salad and hot bread with butter was served. Angel food cake with pineapple cream icing and boiled custard were enjoyed as dessert.
The January meeting will be hosted by Hazel Williams and Mary Dunavant will have the program on home remedies.
