Photo What Goes Up… WHAT GOES UP… — Seems only yesterday that large and colorful Christmas wreaths were placed on street lamps in downtown Union City. Their time on the holiday stage has come and gone and now they’re coming down to be placed in storage another year. Early Thursday, Parks & Recreation employees Dewey Wright (on ladder) and Tony Carver worked their way down First Street removing the decorations. Crew foreman Rob Ring (not pictured) said that on Nov. 25, city crews put up 25 wreaths on First Street and holiday lights in front of City Hall and at Kiwanis Park. “We started (Wednesday) taking it all down. We’ll finish up today,” Ring said. , |
