Billy Joe Powell, 73, of Hickman, Ky., died 9:33 p.m. Jan. 2, 2008, at Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman, with the Revs. Henry Callison and Don Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Larry Parks, Jerry Conder, Robert Hulin, Darren Hulin, Robby Hulin, Adam Powell, Larry Jones and Cody Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Drewry, Morris Dunn and Bart White.
He was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Lake County, son of the late Garvin and Pauline (Woods) Powell. He was a member of Hickman Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Powell; two sons, Phillip Powell of Hickman and Tony Powell of Fulton; his daughter, Kathy Drewry of Hickman; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Powell; and his sister, Mary Russell.
