Volunteer Tenn will meet
Volunteer Tennessee will hold its quarterly business meeting from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at the William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower, Davidson Conference Room, 312 8th Ave., North, in Nashville.
The agenda for the meeting will include committee meetings, approval of the 2008 board plan, reports from commission member site visits to AmeriCorps programs across the state, revised commission bylaws, approval of the revised Disability Placement grant 2008 operating budget, and approval of applications to send to the AmeriCorps national competitive process.
Volunteer Tennessee is a 25 member bipartisan board appointed by the governor to encourage volunteerism and community service. Volunteer Tennessee pursues its mission through administration of AmeriCorps and Learn & Serve grants, training and collaborations and coalitions with public and private organizations interested in volunteerism and service.
