Completed arrangements are being announced for Georgia L. Gentry, 89, of Union City, who died Dec. 26, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Union City.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Greater Bethel Church of God in Christ in Union City. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.
Elder Paul Sanders will officiate.
Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of services.
Rawls Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements.
She was born March 29, 1918, in Rives, daughter of the late George and Sadie Bell (Dysart) Miller. She married Eugene Grant Gentry Jr. Nov. 12, 1940. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Greater Bethel Church of God in Christ and had been a member of the Senior Choir. She was a retired employee of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
She is survived by two sons and her daughter-in-law, George Gentry of Union City and Leroy and Barbara Gentry of Columbia, S.C.; her daughter, Travious McNeal of Chicago; five grandchildren, William McNeal Jr., Melanie McNeal and Katrina Mitchell, all of Chicago, Timothy McNeal of Columbia, S.C., and Christopher Gentry of Memphis; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Helen Stewart of Perris, Calif.; and her aunt, Lillian Bennett of Los Angeles.
She was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
