Archie R. Overturf Jr.

Archie R. Overturf Jr., 83, of Dresden, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Overturf was born in Royalton, Ill., the son of the late Archie R. Overturf Sr. and Ruby Lawrence Overturf. He was a retired electrician and construction worker. He attended Grove Hill United Methodist Church in Dresden and taught the adult Sunday school class. He was a Shriner, a Mason and a member of Moose Lodge.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Norman Overturf of Sauget, Ill., and Donald Leslie Overturf of Belleville, Ill.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of more than 60 years, Bettye Ann Jane Overturf; a sister, Rowena June Holland; and two brothers, Albert Henry Overturf and Fred Overturf.
