Vehicle stolen, found

A vehicle reported stolen early Thursday morning in Union City was recovered a short time later.
Ronnie Workman of 1424 Little John Drive told police about 5:55 a.m. that someone had taken his red 1999 Olds Alero from where it was parked in his carport sometime after about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Union City Police Department report.
The vehicle was located by police about 7:45 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Jernigan Drive.
Police noted in the report that they had received a call about 11 p.m. Wednesday regarding a black man prowling around the area in the 1300 block of North Clover Street. While checking the area, police learned a Glock .40 caliber handgun had been taken from a vehicle in the 900 block of Robin Hood Drive.
In addition, Clint Workman of 1424 Little John Drive told police Thursday that 100 dollar bills had been stolen from the center console of his 2003 Chevy Silverado, which was parked at his home and was unlocked, according to a police report. He told police the bills had been given to him by a family member as a Christmas gag gift.
