Photo DAC luncheon meeting
LUNCHEON MEETING — Colonial Gideon Chapter of Daughters of the American Colonists of Jackson, which includes members of the former Union City chapter, met recently at Sassafraz Restaurant in Union City for a luncheon meeting. Bill Dahnke addressed the group and presented a program on Palatine Settlers of the 17th Century to Pennsylvania from Germany. He explained the history of the Palatine Settlers at a time in that century when Germany outlawed emigration from that country. Mrs. James A. Roberts, chapter vice regent, of Greenfield conducted the business meeting in the absence of the chapter regent, Mrs. James Harmon of Jackson. Among those attending the meeting were (seated, from left) Mrs. Roberts, Mrs. Ansil Boals of Paris, (standing) Dahnke, Cheryl Markham and Mrs. Ross McCollum, all of Union City, Mrs. Thomas C. Wood of Paris and Josephine Keightley and Mrs. Nicky Barnes, both of Union City. Also attending was Mrs. Charles Miles of Union City.
