Sympathy is extended to Mrs. Virginia Sandefer on the death of her grandson, Richard Hicks of Spring, Texas, who died last week as the result of an automobile accident.
Betsy and Jonathan McDaniel are the parents of a 7-pound, 4-ounce son, Charlie Pete, born Dec. 18 at the Henry County Medical Center. Grandparents are Debbie Jacobs of Martin and Terry Covington of Dresden. Madge Winstead is the proud great-grandmother.
John and Gail Quinton were in Tuscaloosa, Ala., when their son Nicholas Quinton received his master’s degree. Nicholas is now studying for his Ph.D. at Florida State University in Tallahassee. Nicholas and his wife, Melanie, visited briefly with his parents during the holidays.
Sympathy is extended to Mike and Becky Youngblood on the death of his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Youngblood Webb of Paducah. Mrs. E.H. Welles accompanied Becky and Mike to Paducah for the services.
Tom Beard has been undergoing treatment at the Henry County Medical Center in Paris and is showing some improvement.
Jimmy Mayo of Austin, Texas, was a pre-holiday visitor of his mother, Mrs. Yvonne Mayo, and other family members.
