Band to practice The Messenger. 12.27.07 “If you play an instrument and want to be a part of this newly-formed group, bring your instrument and come to the first rehearsal Jan. 3 at 6:30 pm at Peabody High School band room on the 45 bypass in Trenton,” a spokesman for a newly-formed orchestra in Gibson County and the surrounding area said. The rehearsal schedule will be the first and third Thursday of each month, and it will be set up loosely on a school semester system. The first semester will be January through May or so, with a public concert at the end of that time. The second semester will be in the fall through middle of December, culminating in a Christmas concert. The rehearsals will last exactly 1 1/2 hours, according to the spokesman. “That means the first note of music will start exactly at 6:30 and the last note will be exactly at 8. So, if you have to sign up, pay fees, tune up, whatever — that needs to be done prior to 6:30,” the spokesman added. The fee to belong is $25 per semester. That money will be used to buy music.
