MARKS 15 YEARS — David Anderson (left) recently received an award marking his 15 years of service with Cox Oil Company, represented by president Mike Cox. He was spotlighted in the company’s recent newsletter for his constant positive attitude and strong work ethics. Anderson began his work with Cox Oil Company in October 1992 and he works at Little General No. 22 in Union City. Although he does mostly floor work, he says he loves his job. When asked about his favorite part of the job, he told company officials, “I like to sweep the floors, stock, clean and make the store look good.” When asked what it takes to work somewhere for 15 years, he replied, “I work hard; you have to work hard. And I love what I do. I am good at what I do and I am proud of it.” When asked what advice he would give to any associates, he told company officials, “Work hard and do a good job.” He also credits his mother, Linda, and said she taught him “how to do a good job.” When he’s not working, Anderson is mowing the yard or cleaning house. He also enjoys going to the movies, bowling, bicycling and attending music concerts, with country and gospel listed as his favorites. Anderson graduated from Henry County High School in Paris and then moved to Martin, where he later purchased a home. , , , |
