HOSPITAL VISIT — Members of the South Fulton High School Beta Club recently spent a day at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis. While there, they handed out stuffed animals to the children who were patients. The club donated over 70 stuffed animals this year. One mother personally thanked the club’s sponsor, teacher Brandi Cantrell, for taking a picture of her daughter because it was the first time her daughter had smiled in days. The Beta club members are already looking forward to next year for a chance to brighten the day of the children at Le Bonheur and to gain a little perspective at the same time. “This trip always helps us realize how blessed we are,” Ms. Cantrell said. Among the SF students who participated in the trip to Le Bonheur were (from left, kneeling) Holly McClanahan, Reagan Perry, Anna Seratt, Amanda Wall, (middle row) Danielle Frields, Ashley Tynes, Mallory Martin, Megan White, Alexander McWhirt, Erin Bivens, Lisa Crabtree, Christina Adams, Sarah Gammon, Bethany Graves, (back row) T.J. Howard, Jordan Cherry, Beau Rinker, Josh Bennet, Alex Burrow, Reid Barker and Derek Giffin. The sponsors who attended were Ms. Cantrell and Tammy Sisson. , , |
