Jewell Hester Damron Green
Jewell Hester Damron Green, 93, of Martin, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at Volunteer Community Hospital.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Murphy Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Tate and Chaplain Anisa Evans officiating. Burial will be in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Jerry Carpenter, George E. Pritchett, Larry Damron, Gary Don Damron, Brian Evans and Brandon Woods will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Damron, Brett Evans, James Pritchett and Tolen Gallardo.
Mrs. Green was born Nov. 7, 1914, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Walter Ollie Hinton and Martha Elizabeth Todd Hester. She was the widow of George Damron and Albert Green, retired from Kellwood Manufacturing Co. and a member of Campground Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Evans of Martin and Marsha Gallardo of Lexington; three grandchildren, Anisa K. Evans, Brian K. Evans and Ashley L. Woods; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Guy A. Hester, Gay Hester and Walter Ollie Hinton Hester Jr.; three sisters, Jackie Irene Griffin, Lois Carmen Tyson and Inez Carmack Hazlewood; and one grandson, Eric Evans.
