Agnes Hatley, 89, of Gleason, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at VanAyer Manor Nursing Home in Martin.
Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tansil Cemetery, with Bro. Ryan Potts officiating. Gallimore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Billy Smith, Jeff Capps, Joe Webb, Hugh Dowden, Billy Chapell and Guy Stalcup served as pallbearers. Grandchildren were honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Hatley was born Aug. 25, 1918, in Sidonia, daughter of the late Alvin and Mary Jane Matlock Adams. She was a factory worker and a Cumberland Presbyterian.
Survivors include her husband, George Hatley; one son, Robert (Sandra) Stewart of Martin; two sisters, Clara Webb of Gleason and Odell Blakemore of Dresden; two grandchildren, Cindy (Sammy) Prince and Shauna (Jeff) Capps; and four great-grandchildren, Tessa Prince, Cody Prince, Mason Capps and Harrison Capps.
She was also preceded in death by two husbands, R.C. Stewart, and Andrew Runions; and one son, Larry Stewart.
