YOUNG ARTIST — Ridgemont Elementary School first-grader Jaxon Moran recently won top honors in his grade in the school’s annual fire prevention poster contest. He received recognition from the Union City Fire Department for his poster, based on the 2007 theme, “Practice Your Escape Plan.”
