UT Martin’s Gallien organizes photo club

Dr. Tom Gallien of the University of Tennessee at Martin Office of Extended Campus and Continuing Education recently organized the Northwest Tennessee Photography Club.
The core membership will be graduates of the UT Martin courses and they will officially kick off with a first monthly meeting in January. Although they are an autonomous organization, they have partnered with the Jackson Photography Club to exchange programs and resources.
“This is an exciting result of the ECCE’s courses and I am proud of all the excitement it has produced in the multi-county area,” Gallien said.
Gallien will also instruct two courses in the spring. The first is a basic course for Photoshop Elements. It is slated for 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesdays from Feb. 5-26. The fee for the course is $85.
“Introduction to Digital Photography” will be taught Thursdays from 6:30-9 p.m. from March 6-27. The fee is $75.
“Intermediate/Advanced Digital Photography” will be offered Tuesdays from 6:30-9 p.m. from April 8-29.
