DONATION TO FOOD BANK — With a caring spirit, the McKenzie Technology Center Student Senate members hosted a canned food drive to help the local Carroll County area. The classes of Technology Center students held a friendly competition where they collected canned food to be given back to the community through the United Neighbors program. Student Services manager Ron Hinton (left) and Student Senate President Bud Travelstead look over the canned goods that were collected. “The holiday project idea came from our students wanting to give back,” said Travelstead, a student at the McKenzie Technology Center. The class that collected the most food per student was the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning class. Overall, the entire project brought in more than 600 cans of food to help needy Carroll County families. The theme for this project was “WE CAN make a difference at Tennessee Technology Center.”
