Charles Ronald “Ronnie” Travis, 65, of Martin died Dec. 17, 2007, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin, with the Rev. Scott Penick officiating. Burial will follow there in East Side Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
Pallbearers will be Bill Ray, Dustin Ray, Darren Ray, Danny Joe Cotton, Keith Newton and Nick Preddy.
He was born Sept. 8, 1942, in Weakley County, son of the late Charles Fielden and Louise (Chappell) Travis. He was the widower of Paula (Harris) Travis and was a member of Ralston Baptist Church. A graduate of the former Martin High School, he was a retired employee of the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Survivors include his son, Trent Travis of Dresden; his daughter, Lisa Hollowell of South Fulton; his brother, Mike Travis of Martin; and four grandchildren, Thomas Travis, Jacob Milam, Jonathan Hollowell and Joshua Hollowell.
He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Faith Renae Travis.
