Emma B. Higgs, 94, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at Johnson Tabernacle CME Church with the Rev. C. N. Ricks and Dr. David Reid officiating. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sharon. Williams Funeral Home of Greenfield was in charge of arrangements.
Adrain Higgs, Billy McMullen, James Higgs, Eric Higgs, Charles McMullen and Cedric Higgs served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Higgs was born May 20, 1913, in Greenfield, daughter of the late Coke and Florence Vinnie Winston. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, James Higgs of San Antonio, Texas, Jessie Higgs of St. Louis, Mo., Billy Ray Higgs and Bennie J. Higgs, both of Greenfield; and three daughters, Melvlon Higgs Hill and Jestine Higgs McMullen, both of Greenfield, and Barbara Higgs Finch of Dyer.
She was also preceded in death by four sons, Frank Higgs, Bobby Higgs, David Higgs and Thomas Higgs.
