Daisey Ruth (Hamilton) Haley, 74, of Union City, died Dec. 15, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services were set for 2 p.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Leggett officiating. Burial was to follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Allen Nohsey, Sammy Nailling, Jay Morrison, Jeff Morrison, James Allen and Bobby Russell.
She was born March 10, 1933, in Obion County, daughter of the late John B. and Zadie (Ring) Hamilton. She married Charles Haley May 30, 1952. He survives. She was a retired bookkeeper for the former Salant & Salant, where she worked for 25 years, and the former Burnett Shoes, where she worked for 23 years. Both were located in Union City. She was a member of Union City First Baptist Church for 63 years and had been a member of the choir.
She is also survived by her son, Charles Haley Jr. of Union City; her granddaughter, April Irvine of Union City; three great-grandchildren, Zach Irvine, Avery Dawson and Tanner Haley, all of Union City; and her brother, J.B. “Peewee” Hamilton of Portsmouth, Va.
