Hallie Marie Wright, 84, of Oak Ridge, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at the Methodist Medical Center.
Services were held 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge, with the Rev. Stella Roberts officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from noon-1 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home in Sharon with graveside services at 1:30 at East Side Cemetery in Martin.
Mrs. Wright was born Aug. 9, 1923, in Martin, daughter of the late Hosie Clarence and Velmer Francis Rowlette Gardner. She was retired in 1962 from Union Carbide Corp. where she worked as a clerk in the Health Physics Department. She was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Hillman Newton Wright of Oak Ridge; one son, David Hillman Wright of Hampton, Va.; one daughter, Annette Marie Wright of Oak Ridge; one brother, Bobby Harold (Bobbie) Gardner of Martin.
