Harry P. White wcp 12-04-07 Harry P. White, 81, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007. A memorial mass was held 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Fernandina Beach, with Father Brian Eburn officiating. He was buried with military honors in Bosque Bello Cemetery. Oxley-Heard Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. White was born in Martin and lived in Memphis before relocating to the Atlanta area. He owned Delta Chevrolet in Roswell, Ga., and Harry White Ford in Hapeville, Ga. He had been a member of Cherokee Town and Country Club in Atlanta for many years and was a past winner of the Member/Guest Golf Tournament. In December 2001 he moved to Amelia Island. He was a U. S. Army veteran and attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters, Susan White (Jason) Dowling of Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Hallie Christina White of Portland, Ore.; two sons, Harry Preston White II of Phoenix, Ariz., and Taylor Coleman White of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; and one grandson, Patrick Hampton Dowling.
