Dr. Pat Cooper, chief executive officer of the New Orleans Early Childhood and Family Learning Foundation, will be speaking to parents and others interested in the health of children and how it relates to success in the classroom at a free session this evening in The Tennessee Room at the Obion County Public Library at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City. The session is open to all who are interested at 6 p.m.
Union City School System Coordinated School Health Director Kristen Miles and the Obion County director, Heather Kendall, are issuing an invitation to parents, medical personnel, child care workers, educators and others who are interested.
Teachers in the Union City School System were able to tap into Cooper’s perspective earlier today at a Professional Development Day.
