Larry Eulane Darnell, 89, of Columbia, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at his residence.
Services were Held Friday at Bowlin Funeral Home, with Bro. Dale Mathis and Bro. John Quinton officiating. Burial was in Grove Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
Charles Meador, Roy Waddell, John Quinton, Chris Alford, David Seat, Nyle Carlton, Keith Darnell and Richard Suddath served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Cooper, Ray Thomas, Rick Duncan and Don Moubray.
Darnell was born Oct. 23, 1918, in Dresden. He was the widower of Annie Louise Jones Darnell, was a carpenter and a member of Grove Hill Methodist Church in Dresden.
Survivors include two sons, Larry (Brenda) Darnell of Franklin and Trent (Debra) Darnell of Columbia; three grandchildren, Lisa (Wayne) Acklen, Leslie (Charlie) Irwin, Jessica (Chris) Garrow; three step grandchildren, Alissa (Kevin) King, Paul (Rachael) Murphy, Joe Donat; six great-grandchildren, Jonah Irwin, Jackson Irwin, Susanna Irwin, Justin Acklen, Caroline Acklen and Joshua Garrow; six step great-grandchildren, Alexia, Katie, Krissy, Shyanne, A. J. Murphy and Nathan Donat.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Joshua Bradley Darnell. None |
