Pageants scheduled in UC, Lake County

A “Pretty in Pink” pageant will be held Sunday at the National Guard Armory in Union City to raise funds for Regina Mullins, a breast cancer patient.
Registration begins at 1 p.m., with pageants starting at 2.
The entry fee is $25, with sibling entries only $5 each.
Age groups for girls are birth to 6 months, 7 months to 1 year, 2-3 years, 4-6 years, 7-9 years, 10-12 years, 13-15 years and 16 years and older. Trophies and crowns will be awarded.
Baked goods will be made available. Donations of baked goods and bottled water are being accepted. All donations and proceeds will go to Ms. Mullins.

The first-ever Reelfoot Lake Southern Belle Pageant will be held Saturday at Ellington Hall in Lake County. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m., with pageants beginning at 2.
Categories for girls are as follows: birth to 12 months, 13-23 months, 2-3 years, 4-5 years, 6-7 years, Little Miss Laura Ingalls for ages 8-9 years, Miss Laura Ingalls for ages 10-12 years, Miss Teen Scarlett O’Hara for ages 13-15 years and Miss Scarlett O’Hara for ages 16-20 years. Age groups for boys are 0-18 months, 19-35 months and 3-5 years. A king or queen and three alternates will be chosen in each age group. The kings and queens will receive crowns, trophies and banners, while alternates will receive trophies.
Side categories of best dressed and best personality are also available for a total fee of $35.
All winners in age groups 8-20 will be expected to participate in all events leading up to the No. 10 re-enactment, including parades, balls and teas.
Admission will be $3, with the exception of contestants and one parent.
All proceeds will go toward the first-ever Island No. 10 re-enactment.
