Gardner FCE Club meets

The Gardner FCE Club held their regular monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m., Oct. 24, in the home of Elsie Smith, who was also in charge of the meeting.
The group repeated the club creed. Martha Helen Sellars gave a devotional from John 17, “The God We Serve.” She also led the group in singing.
Roll call was answered by five members and one visitor giving a Halloween treat to the person on their left.
The minutes of the September meeting were read by the secretary Louise Wynia and approved.
Mrs. Smith reported on the county council meeting. She also reported on the fall trip to the Pearl Farm.
Beverly Shelby’s program was about “Stress Less Holidays.”
Following a drawing for a door prize, Elsie served delicious refreshments.
Also present were Nell Bell and Sarah Hazelwood.
