Gearldine Nelson, 93, of Trenton, a former resident of Union City and the sister of Vernon Frank May of Union City, died Oct. 31, 2007, at Dyer Nursing Home.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton.
She was born Oct. 13, 1914, in Union City, daughter of the late Vernon P. and Maude May. She was the widow of Coy Nelson, who died in September 1997.
She was a member of Trenton First United Methodist Church.
Survivors also include her sister, Jean Smith of Trenton; her sister-in-law, Estelle May of Union City; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Herschel and Dorthy Nelson of Martin and J.W. and Barbara Nelson; two nieces, Barbara Manuputy of Charles Town, W.Va., and Sandra Snider of Trenton; her nephew, Tony Smith of Trenton; two great-nieces, Amelia Gentry of Ayer, Mass., and Amanda Gentry of Chicago; four great-nephews, Chris Smith and Hunter Smith, both of Trenton, Andy Snider of Long Island, N.Y., and Kyle Smith of Murfreesboro; and her great-great-niece, Morgan Gentry of Ayer.
