Art classes being offered The Gibson County Visual Arts Association is offering art classes with the next sessions to be held in early spring. Possible classes include introduction to drawing, beginning acrylic, palette knife oil painting, art history and museum tours. The classes will be small, only six participants per class, to allow the instructor more time to give each person personal attention. Those who wish to see a certain class offered or those who have ideas for a class which should be offered are asked to call Sara Barker at (731) 784-9389. The classes are held at the GCVAA office in the Trenton Housing Authority. They are partially funded by a grant through the Tennessee Arts Commission by the Northwest Development District. The cost is $85 for six lessons, with a discount to GCVAA members. Everyone is invited to become a member. The membership year is July thru June, and the dues are $25, which may be sent to GCVAA, PO Box, 68, Gibson, TN, along with name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. Meetings are the third Monday night of every month at Trenton City Hall, Trenton. There will be no meeting in December. Published in The Messenger on 11.01.07 , |
