Bridal tea honors Miss White
A tea was held recently, honoring Jenny Lynn White, bride-elect of Brian Ray Smith.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Jill and Tony White of Tiptonville. The groom-elect is the son of Mary Elizabeth and Ronnie Cooper of Newbern and the late Rayford Smith.
The couple will wed at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Chapel at the Park in Gatlinburg. A reception will be held at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort in Gatlinburg.
The tea was held at the home of Wendy Haynes.
Co-hosting the event were Susan Ervin, Tammy Hopper, Kaye Pope, Helen Haynes, Joanie Hopper, Sandra Petty and Misty Stanley, all of Tiptonville, and Meredith Shultz of Dyersburg.
The bride-elect was attired in an aqua and brown dress and was presented a white carnation corsage.
The dining table, centered with an artistic arrangement of white Fuji mums, carnations and baby’s breath, held a variety of candies, pastries, divinity, brownies, pumpkin cheese cakes, toasted pecans and mints. Banana fruit punch was served from a crystal punch bowl.
Miss White received a Lenox platter, sugar and creamer, in her chosen everyday pattern as her gift from the hostesses.
Special guest attending was the honoree’s mother.
