Phyllis Marie (Sampson) Weatherly, 73, of Troy died Oct. 19, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with Dr. Vann Kissell and the Rev. John Poore officiating. Burial will follow there in Terrace Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Chris Palmer, Eddie Palmer, Donnie Morris, Howard Morris, Howard Roberts, Terry Roberts, Jake Weatherly and John Weatherly.
She was born April 29, 1934, in Troy, daughter of the late Johnny and Laura (Etheridge) Sampson. She married Rabon Jack “Pete” Weatherly Dec. 24, 1953. He survives. She had been an employee of the former Salant & Salant in Troy and was a homemaker. She was a member of Troy First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and her son-in-law, Glenda Taylor of Obion and Lisa and Ronnie Morris of Troy; her son and daughter-in-law, Rabon and Pam Weatherly of Union City; her brother and sister-in-law, Hoyt and Anne Sampson of Troy; four grandchildren, Stephanie Flowers and Lydia Morris, both of Troy, Jake Weatherly of Dyersburg and John Weatherly of Covington; and three great-grandchildren, Bailey Flowers and Avery Flowers, both of Troy, and Kaimin Taylor of Obion.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Mandy Taylor; four sisters, Cammie Ross, Bea Etheridge, Louise Bradshaw and Otie Burgett; and two brothers, William Sampson and Chester Sampson.
