UTM volleyball to participate in ‘Dig For The Cure’
The University of Tennessee at Martin volleyball team will participate in the “Dig for the Cure,” a national fund-raising event during October for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
The Skyhawks will dedicate their Oct. 27 match against Austin Peay as “Dig for the Cure.” October is breast cancer awareness month.
The Susan G. Komen foundation works directly with volleyball programs across the nation to help raise money for finding a cure for breast cancer.
The UTM volleyball coaches and players will be securing pledges for the Dig for the Cure night.
Donors can pledge either a flat amount, or a specific amount per UTM team dig ($1 x 75 team digs = $75 donation or a flat donation of $15-$25).
Those willing to make a pledge can e-mail Ada Bazin at E-mails should include name, address, phone number, and pledge amount.
Checks should be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation, and sent to: Ada Bazin, Assistant Volleyball Coach, UT Martin Volleyball, 1022 Elam Center, Martin, TN 38238.
