Lois Mae (McMackin) Freeman, 96, of Brentwood, a former resident of Obion County and Martin, died Oct. 9, 2007, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin, with Clark Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery in Martin.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
The family requests that memorials be made to Martin Church of Christ Student Center in Martin.
She was born Jan. 28, 1911, in Obion County, daughter of the late William Vertie “Bud” and Mattie (Haley) McMackin. She was the widow of Joe C. Freeman and was a graduate of the former Troy High School. She attended the former University of Tennessee Junior College in Martin and had been employed at both the University of Tennessee at Martin library and the City of Martin library.
She was a member of Martin Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Clark B. Freeman of Knoxville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie Pat and Mac Mauney of Brentwood and Ann and Charles Gray of Plano, Texas; and 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Mary Nell Freeman.
