Winner of the CornFest Kernell Contest, sponsored by Junior Auxiliary of Obion County, was Kaleigh Flowers, who guessed 8,000 kernels of corn were in the contest jar. There were actually 8,500. Austin Simpson was the winner of the JA coloring contest.
Art work from that contest is on display at the Obion County Public Library at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City.
Winners in the CornFest parade were:
• Antique car – first place, Gerald Storey; second place, Jesse Whiteside; third place, Don Robinson.
• Float category — first place, Stepz Dance Studio; second place, Union City J’cettes; third place, Carl Perkins Center.
• General entry — first place, Nolan Wilson; second place, Colton Beeler; third place, Hayden Wilson.
First-place winners claimed prizes of $50, with second place at $30 and third place at $10.
