Completed arrangements are being announced for Viola (Hutchison) McBride, 97, a resident of Star of Bethlehem community near Troy, who died Oct. 3, 2007, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow in Cobb’s Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening.
Pallbearers will be Danny Hutchison, Ronnie Hutchison, Donnie Hutchison, Kenneth Hutchison, Jerry Hutchison, Johnny Martin, Art McBride and Larry Guynn. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Hutchison, R.C. Parish, Timmy Gant, Hale C. Montgomery and members of the Men’s Bible Class at Star of Bethlehem Church Assembly of God.
She was born April 17, 1910, in Obion County, daughter of the late J.F. and Sarah Dolly Frances (Tidwell) Hutchison. She married Vernon B. McBride April 1, 1933. He died Dec. 7, 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of Star of Bethlehem Assembly of God.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Ralph Covey of Troy; her son, Dallas McBride of Union City; six grandsons, John Covey of St. Joseph, Mark McBride, Gary McBride and Kyle McBride, all of Union City, Keith Kendall of Hornbeak and Mike Kendall of South Fulton; seven great-grandchildren, Chris Covey of Muscle Shoals, Ala., Melinda Burlison of St. Joseph, Britney Fulcher, Tyler McBride and Dustin McBride, all of Troy, Lindsey McBride of Trenton and Randy Lynn McBride of Hornbeak; and three great-great-grandchildren, Georgia Burlison of St. Joseph, Hannah Grace McBride of Trenton and Sarah Jane Kendall of Hornbeak.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers and her daughter-in-law.
