John H. Griggs, of Martin, has been accepted for inclusion in Who’s Who Among American Teachers and Educators, 2006-2007. He is employed as a teacher and a coach with the Union City School System.
Griggs is a member of the TEA, NEA and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. He is a member of Theta Iota Alumni Chapter of Omega Phi Psi in Jackson and Jacksonville Lodge No. 50 F&A Mason of South Fulton. He serves as a deacon at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Griggs is a native of Brownsville and a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin. He is married to the former Marissa Whitsey. They have two sons, J.C. and Jalen Griggs. | | | | |
