Vera Louise Turbeville, 84, of Pilot Oak community in Kentucky died 1:20 a.m. Sept. 26, 2007, at Mills Health and Rehab Center in Mayfield, Ky.
Services were set for 11 a.m. today at Jackson Funeral Home in Dukedom, with the Rev. Will McSweeney officiating. Burial was to follow in Dukedom’s Oak Grove Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 3703 Taylorsville Road, Suite 102, Louisville, KY 40220-1330.
She was born June 23, 1923, in Dunklin County, Mo., daughter of the late Clarence A. and Hettie (Davis) Glover. She was the widow of Thomas Turbeville and was the owner and operator of the former Dukedom Flower Shop. She was also a retired employee of the former Henry I. Siegel Clothing Co., where she worked for 17 years. She was a member of Pilot Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Ezell of Pilot Oak; two sons, Garry Turbeville and Jimmy Turbeville, both of Pilot Oak; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mavis Trevillion of San Diego and Jean Haleyburton of Maryland; and two brothers, Paul Glover or Canada and James Warren of Nimmons, Ark.
She was also preceded in death by her sister and two brothers.
